Learn how to set and attain group goals and identify personal strengths and talents that contribute to a well-balanced team of leaders. The low ropes experiential course and the climbing tower and zip line help to instill personal growth and confidence as well as teach teamwork.

Ready Set Camp!

Session 1A ( June 17-21)

Grades 1-8

A 4 day shorter session for younger campers who need to get acquainted with Waycross and feel comfortable with camping away from home. Included are many of the traditional activities. By day, counselors introduce campers to nature during wooded hikes, creek hikes and trips to the Enchanted Forest. At night, children sleep in assigned cabins with counselors in attendance. Afternoon swimming, arts and crafts and fun and games make Waycross a wonderful, home away from home, experience.

This session also coincides with Women's Week where guests may bring their kindergarten and preschool aged children to experience Waycross for the first time. Mothers stay with other women at the Conference Center for spiritual building sessions and craft projects while their children "join in the fun" with camp adventures. These youngest campers return to mom for help with every meal and at nighttime.
