Waycross Camp is an active, fun place where campers are encouraged to do exciting activities that they wouldn't do at home. Waycross offers boys and girls a supervised, positive, non-competitive, Christian environment where they can laugh and grow through a variety of activities.
The program is accredited by the American Camp Association and has earned this distinction by focusing on program quality, health and safety issues, and continuous evaluation. Waycross provides an opportunity for campers to discover and grow in their awareness of God by sharing adventures, living in community, exploring nature, learning new skills, and reflection. Clergy, Christian educators, directors and counselors join with campers in working each day on faith formation and leadership development for the whole community.
Waycross Camp is a summer program of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis, continuing a camping tradition that has been a valued offering for the youth of the diocese since 1957. Many of our campers come back year after year sharing their experience, skills and fellowship in a leadership role.
Waycross Camp is on Bear Creek Road, 16 miles northeast of Bloomington, Indiana just off State Road 45 in beautiful Brown County. The camp is nestled in a hardwood-pine woodland, teeming with wildlife and dotted with meadows, ponds and lakes. Camp is a special place to get away from distractions and explore our relationship to God and where campers can come together as equals and feel safe being themselves in a loving and caring environment.
